Beginners Floristry – Tuesday 21st Jan 2025 (15weeks)

Start Dates: Tuesday 21st January 2025

Duration: Part-time 3hs a week 6pm-9pm

Introduction:
This recreational beginners course is intended  for those wishing to learn, enjoy and succeed in a new career or hobby. A short achievable course, suitable for those who do not wish to do a full year of qualification. A great starting point for anyone to see if floristry is for them, learning all the basics in this creative floral world.

Entry Requirements:
To join the course you will have plenty of enthusiasm and an interest in flowers or the garden.

Course Details:
The course is made up from any of the following units:

  •  Hand tied designs
  •  Traditional arrangements
  •  Decorative arrangements
  • Farewell flowers
  • Elements and Principles of design
  • Conditioning flowers, learning latin names

Specialist Resources:
The course can be supplemented by visits, the preparation of commercial orders which are taken by the academy, the preparation of arrangements for external events, the preparation of displays, participation in competitions and shows.

Additional Information:
Protective and suitable clothing to be worn during all practical sessions. You will need to have access to a camera to create a portfolio of your work.

Cost:  £825.00 includes flowers, tuition, and sundries. Deposit to book your place is £100.00 and the remaining can be paid in instalments over the course.
