Intro to Floristry – Monday 9th September 2024 (25 weeks)

Qualification: Level 2 Awards in Floristry  (0351-02)
Start Dates: Mondays 6pm-9pm
Duration:  Part-time, 3hs a week (25 weeks)

Introduction:
This course is intended for those wishing to learn, enjoy and succeed in a new career or hobby. A short achievable course, suitable for those who do not wish to do a full year qualification. A great starting point for anyone to see if floristry is for them and learning all the basics in this floral industry.

Entry Requirements:
To join the course you will have plenty of enthusiasm and an interest in flowers, or desirable to have some shop experience and evidence.

Course Details: 2 units Tied 204 and Arrangements 206
The course covers designs from any of the following areas

  •  Hand tied bouquets
  •  Decorative  Arrangements
  •  Wedding Designs

Course Assessment:
The units are assessed by assignments, and practical assessments. Assessment will be based on practical course work.

Specialist Resources:
The course can be supplemented by visits, the preparation of commercial orders which are taken by the academy, the preparation of arrangements for external events, the preparation of displays, participation in competitions and shows.

Additional Information:
Protective and suitable clothing to be worn during all practical sessions. You will need to have access to a camera to create a portfolio of your work.

Cost: £1650.00  flowers, tuition, and sundries, for your Certification and registration with City and Guilds £150.00 deposit required to secure your place , you can pay the remaining by instalments over the duration of the course.
